DESCRIPTION:Side Event – Concept Note \n8th International meeting on Triangular Cooperation \nTuesday 8 October 2024: 8am — 9: 15am \nVenue: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation\, Lisbon \n  \nFor whom: Open to all GPI members\, as well as non-members interested in engaging with the GPI. Please register through this link. \n  \nPurpose:  \n\nAnnual in-person GPI- membership meeting\n\n  \nGoals:  \n\nCreate a space for practical and informal discussions on different TrC related topics\nDraw interest from conference participants with little experience on TrC.\nGet more members to join to the GPI.\nAnnounce new GPI- lead member from 2025\n\n  \nAgenda: \n  \n8:00-8:15  \n\nOpening remarks and moderation by GPI member (tbc)\n\n  \n\nKeynote input from Ms. Aiman Siddiqi\, JICA officer in Malaysia\, with experience from TrC projects on the ground.\n\n  \n8:15 — 9:00 \nCoffee table discussions on different TrC-related topics.  \n  \nEach table will be facilitated by a GPI member who will take notes and report back to the plenary at the end. Participants can choose a topic of interest and rotate table if they want to participate in more than one discussion. \n  \nTables:  \n\nHow can we strengthen our institutions to increase engagement on TrC? (Japan)\nHow do we enhance communication strategies to position TrC at a higher political level? (tbc)\nHow do we secure future financing for TrC? (Germany)\nWhat are your organisation’s main pain points and challenges with the TrC typology/narrative (Norway)\n\n  \n9:00 — 9:15: Coffee table facilitators report back to plenary and closure of the event \n  \n
